Staff Nurses

£22000 - £34439 per annum

We are looking for highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic Staff Nurses who are passionate about delivering high quality compassionate care within a hospital setting in Chester.

You will be responsible for the safe and effective operational management of the hospital ensuring that nursing is practised within the Clinical Governance Framework and creating an environment in which excellence in care flourishes through effective leadership and staff management/development.

As a nurse you will be expected to:

  • Provide effective leadership in ensuring nursing standards and practices are adhered to
  • Support the Management to ensure that all nursing and care staff understand their roles and are working within the homes policies and procedures promoting excellent practice in line with CQC standards
  • Lead the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of resident care in order to achieve the highest standards of contemporary care
  • Demonstrate an ability to influence good practice and address poor performance appropriately and ensure the line manager is aware
  • Support Management in ensuring that staff regularly receive staff supervisions whether this is individually or in groups as per the homes policy
  • Support the learning and development of all staff by acting as a mentor to nursing and care staff
  • Formulate and implement nursing care plans and ensure that care is provided in accordance with the care plan
  • Assess the needs of our residents, ensuring that their care plans support and reflect their needs

The successful candidate must have:

  • Be Registered with the NMC and have an active PIN Number
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and mentor a team, delegate effectively and promote excellent customer relationships

Salary for Band 5 staff nurse is up to £30,000 depending on experience

Salary for Band 6 staff nurse is up to £34,439 depending on experience

Clinical Psychologist

£45000 - £45000 per annum

We are looking for highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about delivering high quality compassionate care within a hospital setting in Chester.

You will provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care.

As a Clinical Psychologist you will be responsible for but not restricted too:

  • Provide a clinical psychology service to patients, many of whom are present with complex neuropsychological, emotional and behavioural needs within a neurorehabilitation setting.
  • Provide psychological assessment, therapy and rehabilitation across the service.
  • Offer advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other non-professional carers.
  • Work within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the psychology development plan and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Active in the development and implementation of a developing staff training programme.
  • Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the hospital.
  • Engage in intensive and long-term therapeutic interventions with individuals, including those with disorders of consciousness.
  • Undertake specialist interventions with complex patients in relation to their neurorehabilitation goals.
  • Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and dynamic factors, paying particular attention to the impact.

Salary for this role is up to £45,000 depending on experience.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Post graduate level training in clinical psychology. Eligible for chartered clinical psychology status
  • Clinical experience of working with clients with a range of complex needs
  • Experience and / or interest in working with patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

£42414 - £49969 per annum

We are looking for highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner who are passionate about delivering high quality compassionate care within a hospital setting in Chester.

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will act as an autonomous, accountable practitioner working on their own initiative and in collaboration with nursing, medical and allied health professionals to assess individual patient needs, initiate investigations, determine a differential diagnosis and initiate appropriate holistic evidence based treatment and care.

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner you will be responsible for but not restricted too:

  • Participating in the development and delivery of a philosophy which involves and respects the rights of patients, carers and staff.
  • Undertake independent comprehensive assessment and management of patients to incorporate physiological, psychological and pharmacological considerations, making multifaceted complex clinical decisions regarding patient management and clinical outcomes, including, where appropriate, listing patients for elective procedures and discharging patients from the service when treatment is complete/optimum outcome is achieved.
  • Actively being involved in the delivery of any new strategies for patient care that impact on the clinical environment.
  • Management of patients to incorporate physiological, psychological and pharmacological considerations, making multifaceted complex clinical decisions regarding patient management and clinical outcomes, including, where appropriate, independently listing patients for elective procedures, and discharging patients from the service when treatment is complete/optimum outcome is achieved.
  • Participating in systems which allow staff to reflect and improve on their own practice e.g. Clinical Supervision.
  • Independently adjust care plans/treatment plans according to need, assessing appropriate management options, and initiate treatment or referral to an appropriate professional where necessary.
  • History taking, physical examination and assessment.
  • Prescribing, and administering appropriate medications for the management and treatment of patients' symptoms within own limitations and boundaries (non-medical prescribing).
