Registered Manager

£28000 - £30000 per annum

I am looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Manager to work in Christchurch, Dorset supporting service users with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex care needs.

As a Registered Manager you will be expected too:

  • Maintain a person centred, flexible and personalised service that promotes privacy, dignity, independence and preferences of clients.
  • Ensuring safe practice guidelines are followed and safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that the service is running in accordance with CQC standards at all times. All paperwork and audits of medication and service users' records must be completed in line with CQC expectations.
  • Promote awareness of the service and respond to enquiries and referrals. Supervise and assess all staff and keep records of same.
  • Provide adequate supervision and care of service users, taking steps to ensure that all residents are helped to retain their individuality and dignity.
  • Ensure that service users have regularly reviewed and evaluated person centred care plans.
  • Monitor the content and implementation of plans and satisfaction of service users with their planned and delivered care.
  • Ensure that the service is appropriate and responsive to the changing needs and preferences of service users.
  • Ensure that service users are supported in managing their physical and mental wellbeing and in meeting their health care needs.
  • Promote regular health care checks and effective management of long-term health conditions.
  • Enable and support service users to make healthy lifestyle choices and stay active and engaged with others.
  • Ensure staff regularly receive staff supervisions.
  • Demonstrate an ability to influence good practice and address poor performance.
  • Assess the needs of our service users, ensuring that their care plans support and reflect their needs.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care
  • Hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent CQC knowledge and management experience within residential or supported living services
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and mentor a team, delegate effectively and promote excellent client relationships
  • Ability to produce high quality written reports within deadlines

Salary for this role is up to £30,000 depending on experience.

Our client, a well established construction company, based in Tarporley, outside Chester - are looking for additional labour to join a small gang of workers (bricklayer, ground workers amongst other trades) working on an extension and new build project, within a gang mainly dealing with the Civils / Drainage side of the project.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working on smaller and larger sites, Civils / Road preferred, CSCS card (valid, in date) and a knowledge of working with drainage, slabbing, flagging and digging.

Working with the land drainage, supporting on the ground within a gang, loading barrows, slabbing, flagging and turfing amongst other duties as required.

CSCS and site health and safety awareness is essential and experience on site within a civils aspect.

Due to the location of the site - living locally to Tarporley or a full UK license and transport would be a distinct advantage.

As a nurse you will be expected to:

  • Provide effective leadership in ensuring nursing standards and practices are adhered to
  • Support the Management to ensure that all nursing and care staff understand their roles and are working within the homes policies and procedures promoting excellent practice in line with CQC standards
  • Lead the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of resident care in order to achieve the highest standards of contemporary care
  • Demonstrate an ability to influence good practice and address poor performance appropriately and ensure the line manager is aware
  • Support Management in ensuring that staff regularly receive staff supervisions whether this is individually or in groups as per the homes policy

£33000 - £33000 per annum

We are currently looking to recruit a Staff Nurses (RGN/RMN/RNLD), Paramedics, Phyiotherapists and Occuppational Therapists to become PIP Disability Assessors in Isle of Wight.

As a PIP Disability Assessor you will join an established team of highly skilled health care professionals. The role on offer is both challenging and rewarding; you will utilise your clinical and evidence based knowledge, highly tuned interpersonal skills and examination skills to determine how disabilities or impairments (from a range of health conditions) impact on activities of daily living. You will assess individuals who are making a claim for the Personal Independence Payment in line with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) guidelines for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Our initial training is highly supportive and will help you develop news skills to undertake this exciting role.

About PIP

As part of the Government's welfare reform agenda, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have introduced a new benefit called the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Replacing the Disability Living Allowance (DLA). PIP is designed to help towards some of the extra costs incurred when someone lives with long-term ill health or a disability by understanding the extent to which an individual's health conditions may impact on their daily life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out medical examinations and provide medical advice on capacity of work (PIP assessments).
  • Work to productivity and quality targets and respond positively to feedback.
  • Analyse and interpret clinical information/medical evidence and provide reports in a professional and concise manner.
  • Produce succinct, accurate and comprehensive reports to enable decision making and ensure all reports are of a good standard.

The salary for this exciting new role is £33,000 plus additional benefits and rewards.
