Job Details

We have an excellent opportunity for a Land Buyer with a developer based and operating in the North West.

Your role will be to assist the Managing Director in securing an adequate land bank to meet the needs and targets of the business.


Support the Directors in the identification and acquisition of sites, assisting in project acquisition from identification, diligence, offer, contract, purchase, planning to pre-start on the sites acquired.

Maintenance and expansion of the company's key contact base, e.g. land agents, land owners.

Assist the Directors on major projects and with other relevant duties as required.

Participate in corporate entertaining.

Produce professional land packs, ensure accurate bids are placed for land.

Significant amounts of travel and some out of hours working, e.g. planning committees, entertaining.

You Should Be -

Familiar with all aspects of land purchase - sales, commercial, technical, design, legal aspects.

Sound geographical knowledge of the North West

Able to work on own initiative, with the drive to take ownership of projects.

Articulate, clear and credible, and able to thrive under pressure.

Able to communicate with a wide range of people, engender rapport and trust, and develop and maintain key contacts.

Exceptional negotiating and influencing skills; a confident and professional networker.

An original thinker, with the drive to seek out and pursue potential development opportunities.
