HGV Mechanic - Experienced

£30000 - £31000 per annum

Job Details

Working with a medium sized team of other mechanical technicians working on various lorries (class 1/2 and 7.5t), experience with Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic Systems would be to a distinct advantage. Duties are to include:

Fault Diagnosis and Rectification of Defects on all vehicles,

Complete Service and Repair Documentation and any / all other maintenance documentation in accordance with Company Standards and legal Requirements.

Maintenance & Repair of a large Fleet of Delivery and Collection Vehicles & related Equipment to meet current Legislation, Health & Safety and DVSA Standards.

Carry out Scheduled Inspections & Services to ensure compliance with the Company's Operator Licence(s) and DVSA Regulations.

Maintain a High Standard of Housekeeping across all sections of the Service Centre / Workshop and other duties related as and when required.

Working on a shift pattern applicants must be flexible within their working times - out of normal hours working is rewarded with allowances up to £3 per hour extra.

Hours: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm (early finish on Friday late shift)

The ideal candidate for the role will have experience with maintaining HGV vehicles coupled with knowledge of a variance of different types of lorries. An organised and methodical outlook and the ability to work and think outside the box and on their feet effectively.
