IT OPERATIONS ENGINEER - AWS CLOUD/LINUX & LOCAL IT INFRASTRUCTURE - ESSEX
BASIC: TO £40K BENEFITS
We are currently recruiting for an IT Operations Engineer for our vendor client based in Essex. The role will be based from their offices but will have homeworking involved in current circumstances.
Requirements:
Tasks for this position will include assisting or implementing:
- AWS Cloud infrastructure development, maintenance support or the clients software
- Linux server administration
- Local IT infrastructure support - networks/telephones/Linux/Windows/MacOS
- New solution design, implementation and support
- Problem solving using New Relic, system and application logs
- Support and enhance the security and resilience of all infrastructure
The ideal candidate will have a naturally inquisitive nature and be driven to find solutions independently.
Essential Skills:
- AWS or other major cloud experience
- Linux Administration
- Experience of supporting MySQL databases
- Good technical ability and understanding of networking infrastructure
- Out of hours support availability
Desirable:
- Terraform
- Docker orchestration
- FreePBX
- ISO27001 experience
- Experience in supporting JAVA applications
- Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Graphite, Monit, New Relic Graylog
- Scripting - Bash/Python
- Experience in support and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure
