Integra Education have been asked to provide a 1:1 Tutor ASAP.
The young person is a male pupil in Reception who is waiting to start at an Alternative Provision and is working at below expectation.
The funding is for 9 hours per week and it has been requested that this is split into 3 x 3 hour sessions to start with. Sessions may well continue once or twice per week until the pupil is on a full-time timetable at school to support the transition into the Alternative Provision.
Activities will include getting on the floor and playing with cars, building bricks, etc. Potentially taking the pupil out to the local park and observing teachable moments in his play. The Tutor needs to support him to do short adult-chosen activities but not worksheets.
The successful applicant will have:
- SEN experience.
- Early Years experience.
- Qualified Teacher Status, Early Years Professional Status or an NVQ Level 3.
- Strong rates of hourly pay (up to £25 per hour depending on experience).
- Long-term work with one student where there will hopefully be a noticeable improvement.
- Rewarding work when the pupil transitions into school.
