SEN Teaching Assistant

£55.00 - £70.00 per day

Integra Education are currently working with an "outstanding schoool" based in Warrington. They are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who has worked with a classroom and one to one environment.

The Role

Motivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks appropriate to the pupils needs

Using praise and assistance to encourage the pupil(s) to concentrate and stay on the task

Monitor the pupils response to the learning activities and where appropriate to modify and adapt to enable the learner to achieve the intended outcomes

Where appropriate, have the knowledge to apply positive handling techniques

Take part in training activities offered by the school to gain knowledge and skills of working with a child with specific learning difficulties

Encourage the childrens confidence, self esteem and independence

Supporting the pupil(s) in social activities and on school outings

Assisting pupils during therapy sessions

Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance
